Still trying... The lady from the Philippines who answered the H.E.L.P. desk today was very pleasant and well meaning... I notice that instead of us proletariat being able to speak to the white coated high priests of ubertech in Telstra, the people in Philippines put us on hold while they chat to the blokes in Sydney... who seem to draw ideas from you know where
we are nothing if not resiliant. A call to the Ombudsman and a polite question re Trades Practices Act (unconscionable conduct misrepresentation) being framed... this could even become an enticing distraction!

    T'is resolved!
Had call form very helpful chap at Telstra today (thought they'd forgotten!!!)
Got him to phone daughter -he advised her that Telstra had discovered some issues with the prepaid turbo USB Sierra Wireless 301 modem... new drivers from Sierra Wireless became available in the past couple of days...and one very happy Next G user now connected up on the Cape tonight!
Thanks to all for your support
    "Dads Rule OK" eh!
