Raspy sounding steering wheel
Just a quick question before I go pulling things apart. My steering wheel, upon turning, is sounding all dry and raspy lately (non-airbag 1998).
I suspect that when the auto-electrician had the wheel off a while ago to fix the horn contacts that he cleaned everything up and forgot to re-lubricate things.
Is it simply a case of removing the wheel and applying grease somewhere?
Thanks in advance.

Quite possibly needs lube on the sliding horn contacts. Or the trim is touching somewhere.
