Call me stupid but Im going to ask again

This is mine with the -25 offset,, as you can see, they stick out quite a bit,, was told to get them covered last week when I got done for not wearing my seatbelt,, (who's the stupid one here,,:()
She's a 97, with a fairly newish 2-2.5" lift, and the tyres are 31x10.5's,, I've had to cut the front guards pretty much the whole way around, (and still need a bit more for when hitting bumps a bit on the harder side), the rear has only had a minor cut, at the back end, but she's up quite high at the moment because theres nothing in the back or on top of her yet. So when loaded with all my stuff, I think they'll need doing some more.

Thanks Guys, Your disco looks great Chops, I also looked all around my existing rims, I think they are from a range rover, there is nothing stamped on it on the inside or out, Im going to order a set now, will post some pics next week after the chop and the new rims, Just intime for the big easter trip..

RR rims are also +33mm offset.

For you that have not heard of relative offset, it is probably true as neither have I but! I just had to make sure we were all on the same page. I am sorry but that was the most descriptive term I could use to cover the situation where someone says "yeah, I had my disco rims offset by 25 mm". What do they actually mean? Had the centre moved by 25 mm or had the centre moved to a 25 mm offset?

I would say both.. But really the only thing that you should be paying attention to is actual offset. This is the only measurement that you need to worry about. To get a standard disco rim (steel) to have an offset of -25mm would be pretty crazy because it is only a 7 inch rim.. 16x8 -25mm offset is different to 16x7 - 25mm. So on a 16 x 8 inch rim you would have 5" from center to the outside of the wheel and 3" inside towards the vehicle.


On a 16 x 7 inch rim with -25 mm offset, you would have 4.5" towards the outside of the wheel and 2.5" inside towards the vehicle.
