from what I have seen they looked to be the exactly the same pattern as mongrel tyres here however mongrels are no longer made here either so not much help to you sorry

take a look at silverstones though...might be what your looking for they do a mud tyre and an extreme mud tyre that look like JT2's

these were the mongrels...I still have one in the garage

but these are the silverstone extremes.....much cheaper than a simex if tis aggressive tread your after...

However I have a mate that uses these and has been very happy with them his on his second set. still good in the mud but better on road handling (silverstones as well)

This guy is selling them on ebay. Must have started importing. A bit overpriced compared to the uk

I just put a set of 235/85R16 on the old man's Triton (the centipede copies). For what they are, they seem fine, the balance ain't 100% on the freeway but they look horn and they're a second set for mudding anyway. **** for $195...

The only downside this week with all the rain is on a dual cab part timer ute they break traction at every set of lights when I'm driving. Thankfully being a Triton you can use 4x4 on tarmac, it's more or less mandatory to give any sort of handling. This is of course not a problem with LR 4wd and "lower output" engines

You can get Simex Centipedes in 205R16 but for the money it's probably a bit of a waste. I run 235/85 on my Disco and the abovementioned insa turbos come in that size, I have a modest 2inch lift and camel cut, no need for extreme lifting or radical mods.
