Fuses OK?
I have a feeling Discos are separately fused left & right. My Classic RR certainly is.
I've had a bit of an odd problem occur with the D1
The headlight, Taillight and Brakelight have all stopped working on the passenger side of the car indicators work fine
I've had a search through the forum and a few people have reported an issue with a relay but don't mention which one
Anyone got any ideas ?

really I seriously hope it's that easy but I thought brake lights were on a seperate fuse
Check fuse no 8 under drivers side dash board.
I believe its a 15amp fuse.
Mine has similar problem at times, its intermittant.
Well looks like I have much bigger problems
the battery has died and theres now no voltage to the 2 wires at the back of the alternator
Only just made it home
I had to roll round the corner with no engine after it stopped which was odd for a diesel I'm guessing it's got something to do with the imoberliser
I've checked the fuses couldn't find a problem
I've got no idea was broken on it and I'm guessing it's not going to be cheap
Just put your battery on to a charger over night ... Then ring up King Auto Electrics in Bayswater in the morning .... and then just drive it there ...
Never used these guys before ....
Kings Park Auto Electrics
But I have used this one for my alternator rebuild ....
Alternator / Starter motor rewinds

Oh ... and that reminds me ... You have been installing a rear bar ... So check that the trailer plug is OK ... Lift up the flap of the plug and make sure nothing is touching / have a look for frayed wires (might have to pull it apart)
Don't pull it apart unless you have disconnected the battery, as it will have live power running to it, even with the ignition off
Mike
thanks for the advise I'll give those guys a call
I've taken a look at the trailer plug and everything around the rear bar as that was my first thought
wouldn't explain why no voltage is reaching the alternator tho having had a look at rave it seems to indicate I should have voltage there once the ignition is on
Well if the battery is dead flat then there will be no voltage, the small wire is just a connection between the battery and alternator through a bulb, which is switched on via the ignition. Have you run a volt meter across the battery? Sometimes this can just be dirty terminals.the battery has died and theres now no voltage to the 2 wires at the back of the alternator
If you are talking about when the engine is running, you have a stuffed alternator. The Prince of Darkness strikes again.
It is unlikely your other problem with the lights is directly related.

yeah thats what I'm thinking,
The Battery is rooted and the charge light is on and no voltage on the back wires of the alternator with the car running
It's been playing up for a while but has appear to be fine over the last few days until last night
