    QT Products

Has anyone used QT products before on there Discos? I ask because i just bought some trailing arms and front 3 degree radius arms.I was just wondering what people thought of them.Im hoping it will bring the steering geometry back to near standard. And stop it from following the grooves in the road. I have close to a 2 and a half inch lift.

    Cheers
    Chris

I don't personly have any of there gear fitted, but i know there bolt on diff guards look great!
Apart from the fact you lose a tiny bit of diff clearance, they look very strong, and also rap around and protect the pinion on the rover diffs which could come in handy
There track rods/drag links also look strong and i wouldn't hesitate in buying them either

I had the diff guards on my 90.

Had being the operative word there.

The front one got smashed up so badly I had to remove it although I think the catalyst for that may have been a bolt coming out, and the rear one had the bracket that sits above the axle fracture from corrugations and I had to remove that too.

Both my diff hosuings now take there chances with the rocks!

Having said that there weren't bad products although I think their welder back then, looking at the welds, may have been blind. I think things have improved

The welds were one thing i definately noticed. I bought some front radius arms and rear trailing arms off ebay. They look really good but the welds on the front radius arms look a bit dodgy.I can post a pic tomorrow to show you what i mean. Not that they will be seen anyway.

Hi Chris, not related to QT products but I was talking to a Rangie own that also has the simex extremes and he commented that they follow every grove in the road and had to keep on his toes. Correcting the steering geometry certainly wont hurt though.
    Cheers, David.

Have heard of a couple of people bending their front radius arms. Also I bought a wide angle prop shaft from them, that they said was a GKN product and that it was the correct unit to fit my Defender. When it got here from the UK it was the incorrect one (too long) and cost more to send back than to have rectified here. When my driveline guy looked at it,he pointed out that the Unis and flanges were actually made in Turkey, but ok quality. But the slide was actually made by a company in India and was rubbish.NOT a GKN part on the thing. So I won't believe a thing they say anymore.
