Call your local dealer. They can get the key code from the LR system but you'll need proof of ownership usually before they'll give the info out. Then a locksmith can cut a new key to that code.

The EKA can be used to bypass the alarm system or you can get the dealer to supply & program a new one. If you're not in a hurry for a remote, a 2nd hand one or one off eBay can be used & programmed.

This is one of the reasons I dissabled the system on the tourer Disco... so if I lost my FOB I wouldnt be stranded in the middle of no where.

    Lost Keys Disco2 2001

I too lost my keys at the beach in the sand!
I called a landrover specialist in Geelong who had replaced my broken remote last year.
I gave him my vin number and he gave me a code to get a new key cut and gave me an EKA code.

The key did not even turn on the lock!

I called URL in Malvern next they gave me a different code to get a key cut. This one turns in the lock but does not unlock it.

Any ideas what to do next? the car has been parked on beach road for a week!

Get it towed to your house or at least a workshop before the council tows it, surprised its lasted that long without being towed.

Is that yours the blue one near Parkers Road??
Talk to the locksmiths on the corner of Boundary and Lower Dandenong roads Braeside as they seem to do everything vehicle related and at a reasonable cost.
And they will come to the vehicle also if required.
My son in law used them when his key would not turn the lock and they fixed it for about $80 on site.

I bet you have a nice compliment of tickets on it by now, they are only second to Stonnington for parking tickets, they will break in and move it if required.
