How big a tyre can I fit on a 2"suspension lift Disco without srubbing inside?
I'm happy to cut guards and fit flairs.
    Will 33"x 12.5" on 15" sunnies scrub?

With a 2" lift cut guards and flares and the right offset rims you can fit 33"s. You can fit 32"s with a 2" lift and camel cut on the rear of the guard. A 2" body lift will give a bit more room for the 33"s to move.
    Cheers, David.

But with body lift I'll have to mess with rear brake hose, and bull bar wont I? and what else?
I'm selling my 91 and buying a 95. My 91 has 2" suspension lift and 2" body on 33x12.5s. 95 has 2" suspension only. I'd like to keep my 33s, and could keep the 2" body lift but really should leave it in car as it's engeneered for it, with 35s.
So in short, can I keep my 33s(or buy new ones), and just cut guards, get flares?
Would 33x10.5 scrub less? With same offset(is it -20?)?

I run 265/75 r 16 (around 32's old speak) on standard steelies with a 2" spring lift. All i had to do was cut a small section out of the rear guard and adjust the steering stops and its all good! You might need alittle bit more mods to make your 33's fit.

I'm fairly certain it's just cutting a bit off the bottom corner where the arch finnishes at the back.

I ran 265/75 on my last D1, the front would rub at high speed if the camber of the road fell away sharply. On my current D1 I have 31x10.5 which also do the same, Iwas looking at fitting 265/75 again, but dont want to fork out & then tear lugs off new tyres. Anyone else have this prob?
    Cheers Dean.

I run 265/75 All Terrains for everyday use.I have about a 3 inch lift in the back and about 2 and a bit in the front. And if i try to flex it up it rubs on the back and front. So i have some flexi flares which i will be fitting soon.Although saying that i have another set of wheels i use for 4wd.These are a 15 inch steel wheels with 33.x 10.5 Silverstone Extremes running a standard offset and these dont rub at all.I can get the back wheel to tuck all the way underneath. But the fronts rub just slightly i think.

As mentioned a camel cut is when you cut the back of the rear guard at an angle so that the tyres don't rub when flexing. I think the term comes from the Camel Trophy land rover. Do a search and you will find a lot of info. I did a how to in a post a while back.
    Cheers, David.
