    dash pod for early D1

I am looking for a dash pod to suit the early D1, one that fits up on the 'shelf' next to the instrument panel.

I want to mount switches for the lockers/winch/spots etc, the UHF and air gauge up there so they are easier to see and access

Has anyone seen a pre-made pod to suit or will I have to make my own

    any ideas appreciated

    thanks for the links.

the top one seems to project a fair way forward of the dash and comes too close to the steering wheel. The bottom one seems better but I would need 2 of them to house all the switches and things. So they are not exactly what I am after in the way of styling but food for thought.

    thanks again

The inside of the pods I've seen appear only to be ply wood and then a neat stitched vinyl cover over them.
It wouldn't be too hard if your handy with tools to custom make one to your specs then get it covered by a motor trimmer???

I will call them tonight might even get a few carling switches while I am there, they seem cheaper than in Oz and probably wouldnt cost any more for freight than the pod alone.

    cheers
