    Expansion Tank?

So does anyone recommend on having a spare expansion tank? As I found some on fleebay for $55 and wondered what other members think and if its a good buy to have in the kit?

    Murphys law,
If you buy it you'll probably never use it,

If you don't buy it you will need it 1 day!!

Seen a few alloy expansion tank's about. Fit one of those and you'll never need a spare.

Once the original black one has cracked and been replaced with a white-ish one, I then personally wouldn't worry about it again.

The original black ones are known to split, but I haven't really heard of any of the replacement white-ish ones breaking.

If you do heaps of long distance outback journeys then it maybe worth carrying the spare, but again I would not really be too worried about it.

If you don't have spare hoses, they'd be a better spare to carry.

Thanks everyone for your opinion greatly appreciated, the disco currently has the original black one on it and so I might go hunting around for the clear / white one that has been mentioned and replace the old one. Have also just ordered a new set of hoses and that should take care of a few things

How good are the grey ones? I have one fitted to my D1 facelift. Could it have been replaced already?

I had a black one in mine and swapped it for a opaque one, kept the black one for a spare. still in good cond.
Try TRS for a spare, they sell them new.

Have a look on eBay U.K, generally cheaper than over here even with the postage.
