    Cool Turbo Rebuild?

    G'day all
I am planning a trip out west in a few weeks and have been fiddling with my car making sure everything is OK. I have a 300Tdi.
Yesterday I pulled off the Intercooler Outlet Hose and found a reasonable amount of Motor oil in the pipe. By a reasonable amount, I am talking about by putting my finger in the pipe and wiping it around I got enough oil on my finger to drip from it.
My Turbo is going OK but I'm wondering if there is an oil seal inside the Turbo that may be stuffed?
    Can that seal be replaced?????
If so, how hard is that job??????????
I am using a little engine oil but not a great amount. and it's hard to work out if the small amount of smoke I'm blowing is from my Injector tweaks or from burnt oil.
I know that unburnt fuel is black and oil is grey/blue, but they are in small amounts either way.
I did a search but couldn't find any advice on rebuilding Turbos

    Any help would be appreciated.

the oil may not be from the turbo, it is possibly from the crankcase ventilation that is tee'd into the turbo inlet. the easy way to check is to see how much oil is in the pipe just before the turbo inlet. If it is, a 'catchcan' can be put into the crankcase ventilation line to catch this oil before it enters the air intake. Im not sure about rebuilding those turbo's

As mentioned - likely from crankcase breather.

Sounds like the IC needs a clean, and - ideally - fit a Provent as well.

Please forgive my ignorance. What is a Provent? Will this replace the crankcase breather on top of the rocker cover? or is it more involved?
