Factory Sub?
I've only got an Se and not heard of a factory sub. Where is it mounted? Any pics?
Hi guys im sure someone has been down this track before
I hav a D1 with a factory Sub in the back with a Phillips radio. now there is a long rectangle plug with 2 wires in it for the sub is there any other wires at the radio end that make the sub work i have tried by connecting the 2 wires to a RCA plug to see if it works but got nothing out of it also i cant be sure that someone else hasn't tried to connect them to 12v as the wires are red and black and if they have i may have stuffed the rear subs or amp
anyone got any ideas here
thanks in advance

Factory Sub?
I've only got an Se and not heard of a factory sub. Where is it mounted? Any pics?
well after spending a couple of hours studying RAVE i think i can answer my own post also this might help others
All speaker wires are black with a trace colour so i will only refer to the trace colour
front left (+white / -brown) front right (+pink / -red)
rear left (+yellow / -orange) rear right (+green / -blue)
Power is a separate plug
Light Green with orange trace is +12v (switched power via ign)
Purple no trace is +12v from battery
Black no trace is -12v
(note as far as i can tell the other 3 wires are for the dash controls for the radio which im not using now)
If you have the sub woofer
the plug has only 2 wires in it (red and black both these wires are +audio connections) and a bare silver braid type wire that doesn't connect to the radio (-audio)
what i am going to do here is connect the black and red wires to centre pin on RCA plugs and the braid to the outer
as far as i can tell the power for the sub is a separate circuit from the radio
so i hope this is right
