    water leaking into rear section

Recently purcahsed a 94 disco after letting go the old 87 rangie after many years and 630k.

With the recent rain I have noticed water trickling down from the rear speakers. Removed headlining and some interior panels and found water is running inside of the square tubed channel that runs above the doors and rear side widow and is then leaking through the factory sealant where the tube meets the rear door frame area.

Can obviously reseal the join but wonder where the water will then drain to. My guess is that it would travel down behind the rear light area.

Any thoughts would be appreciated on the origins of the water leak in terms of the roof section interity?

I did notice that there are no apparent drain holes along the roof gutters as opposed to the RR.

I had a similar issue, mine were leaking around the alpine windows and also in the rear corners of the rain gutter, both are quite common apparently.
I guess you really need to seal where the leak is getting in, rather than blocking its flow, but as I found out that is easier said than done.

Remove the Alpine windows, clean the metal , probably future rusting out starting and reseal or replace the alpine rubbers.

Just wondering what your fix was in terms of the corner gutters.

I have checked it out but have not noticed anywhere where the it seems that the water would be entering. no sign of splitting rust etc.

This area is not visble from inside the car due to the rear panel obscuring and chance of detecting the leak entery point.

I am even considering drilling a small drin hole undrneath the trim that runs along the floor section next to he door seal.

    Any advice is appreciated

The hunt goes on for the rear section water leak.

Checked both alpine windows and seals with no leaks or signs of rust.

I suspect it may be coming in from the roof section behind the rear panel which is not visable.

Is there a history of leaks entering from the gutters.

If so can the gutter sections be resealed ?

I Just ran some sikaflex along the gutters, seens to have done the trick.
I do still have a slight leak on one of the alpine windows, but I can live with that.
I will stop raining soon anyway.

On the joins of the gutters you will find some metal clips.
Take those off, put plenty of Sikaflex in the gaps and Sikaflex them back on.
