Smile Cheap fix for disco headlining

Original quote to replace headlining was $500
If I removed and reinstalled panel cost $300

With a little discussion with a fair dinkum motor trimmer he suggested to give it a go myself. Sold me 2.5 metres of 1.6 wide foam backed material for $60.

Removed old material and cleaned foam residue off with a course scrubbing brush. Purchased 1 litre of contact adhesive brush on variety and working slowing from the front applying the adhesive a foot at a time and working the material gently into the shallow sections such as the sunroof area and presto all good.

Total cost $75 not to mention the statisfaction of saving a considerable sum.

It cost me $110 last year for a trimmer to do mine in Sydney. I removed/refitted it. He did all the cleaning and covering, etc.
