Hi i just purchased a set of 285/75/R16 mud tyres for my disco and i have a 2 inch spring lift but they are still rubbing on body would i be better off going for a 4 inch spring lift or modifying the body just wondering if anyone has had the same issue ?
2" body lift might help, i wouldnt spring lift much more...
you need fender trims and flares..
you can get away with 33's with only a 2'' lift once you have cut the guards and fitted flares, but it might be easyer to just do a body lift then fit flares...
TIM.

Mums- stock 92 200tdi d1.
ditto above and off set rims -20mm to -25mm max so you dont have the turning circle of the titanic
Before doing big lifts like body lift, check with local transport regs as they change all the time.
Body lift is good but take into account affects they have in terms of high centre of gravity, brake lines extensions, headlight heights for forward vision, airbag impact sensor effects and rear vision for reversing etc.
Plus handling of heavily lifted rig around corners is even more tricky than a standard Disco.
Food for thought.
