    genuine shocks vs aftermarket

    hey all...

I have a set of King springs (2 or 3 inches lift) and would like to replace the shocks.

First question: are there genuine extended height shocks? if so are they any good or is everyone going to vote for Bilsteins?
Next question: I would also like to get some more clearance out of the beast - which I thought to get a 2 or 3 inch body lift.

But what are the laws like these days in WA? I am running on 265 75 R16 at the moment - I heard there is some overall maximum safety height...?

    any info appreciated!
    Cheers.

I'm running terrafirmers +2 but they also do a +4 I think if your thinking of putting a body kit on.

They ride well and theyy extended 5mm more then my pro comp es9000's did..only difference for me is the Terra's handle the disco body roll better then the pro comps on the black top.

terra's also have internal bump stops to help with shocks bottoming out..and they are cheap. of course bilsteins are good and rebuildable but if your not looking for a large outlay then consider these.
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

With the OZ dollar at parity with the US check out Bilstein - KYB - Rancho - Monroe - Edelbrock Automotive Truck Shocks and Struts - Shockwarehouse.com for some great prices on Bilsteins.

I'm running Kings Springs on my V8 D1 and Bilsteins bought online from eshocks.com in the US. With 16x8 All4x4 NP5 wheels and 155/65R16 Toyos it goes well.

Not sure of the laws in WA but King springs and Billies are good, Koni's if you have the $$ are even better.
2 or 3 inch is actually a big difference so I would check overall ride height first.
