    95 Disco ES V8 Remote

    My mechanic has just told me my 95 Disco ES is missing a remote for the central locking. Where do I go about getting a new one and getting it programmed correctly for my car?

    You need to work out if its the single button remote or the two button remote.My 95 Disco has the single button one but i think they changed it in the same year as well.Where is your alarm light? If its under the radio like mine it will be the single button remote.If its in the dash cluster i think it will be the 2 button remote.
    The single button remote you can program yourself easily but the other one needs to be done by a Landrover specialist.Only takes them a few minutes anyway.

    Mine has the alarm light under the radio. Only bought it a few months ago and dealer never had a remote for it (...shifty). Is LR the only place I can get a new one from?

    I just bought mine from a landrover place.Cost me $180 brand new.But you can get them second hand every now and then.
