Reply With Quotewhy ask for oil specs when you intend to alter the oil specs by putting an additive in it which will change the 1st set of specs? It doesn't seem to make sense.
1998 landRover - Deal nearly Done !!!
Hello, It looks like I'm going to purchase the 1998 Landrover , I plan to change all oils straight away- Gearbox, Engine & Diffs, Could some-one tell me what grade of oils to use as I do not have a L/R manual yet but i will get one, I only use Penrite oils & lubricants ( As have used them for years ) when i change the oil in the 3-9 V8 engine I will also add Lucas oil stabilizer a 60/40 mix & in diffs & gearbox as well, As I have used it in the past with high performance V8's & believe it helps stop wear & tear on moving parts, If the engine has the clak clak lifter/rocker noise can you use a thicker oil to quieten it down or thicker oil in a 3-9 V8 is a NO No.............. Any info would be great, Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
