Doesn't help if the tee is bodgy. Seen that more than once this year. Slack mechanics, what do they know?
How do you know if you have a bodgy generic T.What is the difference visually.

The original ones are plastic and have a small pinhole in the upright of the T .
Proper replacements (Maxidrive?)are brass and have a small pinhole in the upright of the T.
Bodgy ones just are a standard T with a hole as large as the ID of the pipes of the T.

There is a visual difference between a 1mm hole and a 6mm hole in the tee facing the plenum.

Thank you PhilipA, beat me by a minute.
