Hey all,
Just to put it out the the forum im looking at doing some kind of custom air box in my disco V8 from an airtec snorkle to the intake manifold just fishing for ideas, or photos / opinions of other peoples intake setup.
Thanks in advance

You have to plug the "Ducks Bum" valve in the bottom of the tin canister, it is waterproof as long as you seal all the joins and the end cap, never had any water in mine when I had it and I got better fuel economy as well, 1 or 2 L/100klm better, most of the systems using the early Tin Can and filter had the snorkle pipe coming into the side of the canister, I believe this will block that small area of the filter very quickly, those that have it this way have said they don't have any complaints. But if you look at the construction of the original Tin Can it and the filter are designed to fed air from the front and not the side, I'm a big believer that the people that designed it this way knew what they were doing, Regards Frank.
Well... thanks for the advice i decided to go with the tin can but wanted to come in from the side to allow me to mount it back a little for the second battery, im going to use to ducks bum entrance for the breather kit input that way i can put my breather kit filter up into the snorkle itself.
lucky for me i found the setup in a Disco 1 with a 3.5 so a little modification to the mounting brackets and adapt the intake from 4inch to 3 inch and done. Also next to the airbox you can see my new mount for my coil using a set of range-rover brackets i had in the shed
last question for all,
POD filter or just a normal filter anyone got a Pro/con opinion
