    V8 radiator into a 300TDi

here is a question for the sages on the forum.
anyone heard of the following and if so how successful was it? or is he just having a lend of me
when the new owner of my classic turned up the other day to tke delivery he turned out to be a land rover enthusiest and suggested to me to install a radiator from a V8 model disco to get around the cooling problems the 300 TDi can have and then to either relocate or get a custom intercoooler.
the other idea i have thought of is
has anyone fitted vents to the rear of the bonnet to let the hot air out,? if so, again how successful was it?

can be done but its barely worth the effort. the 300tdi is amply cooled if the cooling system is working at anything over about 80% overall effeciency.

I havent had an issue with cooling on my 300Tdi until lately, but the radiator is due to be rodded or recored i would guess. Never heard of cooling problems in 300Tdi's when the cooling system has been well maintained.
