Replacement seat foam - Nene Overland

    Hey all

The seat foam on the Disco seats are a bit old and sitting for long periods is pretty hard.

I have read about replacement foam inserts being available from Paddocks/Nene/Exmoor etc.

So I bit the bullet and bought a pair in from Nene Overland

While I haven't fitted them yet (I am waiting for the replacement canvas slings to come into Sutton Motors) I must say dealing with Nene was as easy as falling off a log.

They kept communications up throughout the question and answer period. They provided an accurate freight price and, best of all, once I had placed the order the foams walked through the door three working days later (I kid you not!!!)

If any of you are toying with the idea of buying stuff in from an English dealer I can highly recommend these guys!!!!

I'll let you know how the fitting goes later

    Cheers

    Jason

    WOW!!! What an easy job

    Removed the seat (5 bolts)
    Removed the seat cloth
    Removed the seat foam
Replaced the rubber diaphram (actually overlayed the solid rubber type designed for the electric seat over the half rubber half canvas job of the standard seat)- comes with its own hooks
    Poped in the replacement foam
    Refitted the seat cloth.
    Refitted the seat (5 bolts)

    Whole job....15 minutes per seat.
(While I was in there I replaced the lumbar support band as well)

    Seats are very comfortable now.

The covers look a bit mishapen from the previous sags, but if they don't improve I might look at the new Exmoor Trim Discovery recover kits (about $571.00 plus freight) that really look schmick.

If anyone out there is thinking about doing this go for it, its no where near as daunting as you might think!!!

    Cheers

How much did it cost all up per seat foam, I think I need to do my driver's one.

AU$ 283.56 for the pair including freight

Should be cheaper now that the AU$ is stronger against the GBP

BTW, the original seat fabric has come right, just needed to be left for a few days to lose its "memory"

    Cheers
