Only other thought I have is make sure you crank it over for a few seconds (10?) before actually starting to get some lube pumped around the engine - would hate to think you nip it up because of no oil
Howdy, Ive been away from oz for 12 months and the disco has been sitting around, hasnt been turned over or moved for this time. Apart from changing all the fluids, checking hoses, batteries and wheel bearings is there anything else i should check or do before i turn the old girl over?
cheers for any advice

i agree with Blitz. To help remove the fuel wire of the injector pump. Wind it over a few times until the oil light goes out. Reconnect wire and go for a drive. You will probaly have a few fluid leaks after sitting for so long. Keep a kean eye out on the coolant incase waterpump seal has gone. Good luck
Agree with above.
Make maybe flush the cooling system aswell. if its been sitting for a while and there is some silt and sediment in the system it will pump it all into the radiator when its up to temp and everything is flowing through the cooling system.
Wouldnt hurt to pull the hoses, flush the system with a garden hose and put some fresh coolant in it.
