Thread: 302 clevo ford motor conversion from a v8 3.9?

I don't think a 302 Clevland would be a good choice, unless you have one sitting in the shed, a Windsor 302/5 Litre is around 150lbs lighter and I think you can get adapters to mate g/box, do a search i think there are a few conversions in the Forum somewhere, Regards Frank.

yeh hi thanx i have a clevo 302 out of gs xc needs rebuilding but i have seen ppl have put winsors in them just dont want to spend a heap on my 3.9 am looking at pinning the liners or top hatn them thanx steven

I have seen plenty with a 5L 308 conversion, even Schuler did some.
Still pretty heavy though.
I suggest you save some more $$ and do a 4.6 with high compression and Haltech or similar.
Its totally different car than, I had 2 done and trust me, even when towing a tandem trailer with a car on top it just goes and seems so effortless and no need for engineering etc.
Even easier if you use your block and keep same engine numbers.
Just make sure it has top hat liner option.

PS, I also had a 3.8L V6 holden conversion in one, what a lemon that was, but that is another story.
