300TDI Auto Disco juddering on take off

300TDI Auto Disco juddering on take off. Did a few water crossings at the weekend that may be to blame.

    Any suggestions?

Have you checked that it's not something simple like a sticking handbrake?

Checked it over and the handbrake seems fine.

After water crossings where your universal joints have been in the drink you should have greased them straight away. One may be failing rapidly now.

Have you tried backing off the handbrake adjuster a lot to at least fully eliminate the issue (handbrake issue like Scouse had suggested)? Can often be a cause for reversing judder, but the water may have moved some buildup around in the drum.
