Thread: Broken Accelerator cable

Pouring rain yesterday, so my wife and I decided to go for a bit of a drive and get out of the house.
80 odd K's from home, put my foot down to accelerate up a hill and ....... nothing ..........
Coasted to the side of the road, opened the bonnet and found a throttle cable broken off just behind the clevis

Stood in the rain scratching my head for a few minutes, decided I really didn't want to get someone to come out to get us, so improvised .....


It was surprisingly easy to get it all home, an automatic would have been even easier, but we got there

beautiful job.
