Hi
I towed close to 2 tonne of van (full hieght) from melbourne to perth in january, had 45 degrees most days. Seen 107 degrees on the electronic temp sensor a few times, couldnt run the air con as that added about 10 degrees to temps. Are you aware the standard gauge dosnt move from halfway until about 103 degrees and is just under the red line when it reaches 107 degrees. Before I left tassie I had a recored radiator fitted and the famous JC from kingston go right through my vehicle so there was no mechaniclly issues. I run a arb bar with a winch and 2 large spotties (even removed these at on point, made no difference. So running around tassie in sub 30 degree temps tells me you have a problem somewhere. Its not your grill
cheers

There is something else wrong, it won't be the grill or the bar. My old man has a 300tdi with an ARB winch bar, it never getts hot. He tows a 5.30 m pop top, which he takes off road with him and loads it to the hilt with fossicing gear, doesn't even look like getting hot. You have an other issue. The TDI rad has a baffel in it to divert flow, I have a mate who this come loose on and water would bypass it, it had similar issue to your car.
