    Ahhh beautiful, I guess it's not a big deal but if I ever find myself with a bit of time to kill I'll swap them over...I'll probably get used to that configuration just as easily and forget all about it

    I've had mine for 5 years nearly and couldn't even say which ones did what. I've had them out a few times so they have probably changed position a few times too. As said they are all interchangable.
    If you do pull them out be careful not to break the backing plate.

    More to the point is is possible to remove the woodgrain panels and replace them with the plain grey plastic ones and the rubber mats like in the non-fancy interiors...the sticky plastic mat type thing around the gearstick is great, you can chuck your stuff on there and nothing slides around!
