    IAC hose

I have a very stiff Idle control valve hose that may not be sealing properly, can it be blocked off or should I get a new hose.I am aware that it controls the idle speed and probably only really needed at start up so am thinking it would be fine to just put a short length of hose at each end that I have that will fit and just plug up both ends.
    Cheers

The IAC controls idle speed all the time, including when pulling on the steering wheel, putting it in gear, switching on the a/c etc. Put a hose clamp on each end or replace the hose properly.
