    troubles with body lift

    Hi guys

Just did a 2 inch body lift on my petrol disco, just wondering what problems can i expect? i have already run into a broken air intake tube. It broke as the airbox was higher then the engine. any suggestions on how to fix this cheaply. i put a silicone tube extension on it and have taped the crap out of it so far, running fine now but dont want to do it for too long.

    cheers

When I body lifted my disco, I didn't drop the lift pump down to suit, and a few months later the metal fuel line into it broke from strain, Had to buy a whole new pump cost me $80. Mind you its a 300tdi, but pays to have a real good look in the engine bay for little things like that. Also had to extend brake lines from memory - adam

    Hi Tassydisco,
Timing is everything, mines had a two inch body lift and I'been having problems with fuel, and my fuel pump. After I read this I went and had a look, the blast plastic tube was stretched near straight and I think the outlet pipe is a bit more bent than it should be. I fitted my spare pump and put a piece of rubber fuel pipe in place of the plastic one, all fixed, thanks very much.
