The best modification/add on to my truck by far was the installation of a fuel powered engine heater. This has increased the usability by 100%, not kidding! Admittedly, we have some different climatic conditions here than you will have, but nevertheless, if you have some chilly periods during the year in your neck of the woods as well it might well be worth having.
Another add on which will have some real world benefits for you are extra lights. Consider those if you don't have those already fitted.
The next improvement that springs to my mind would be a tow bar if you have not one already. Preferably a Dixon-Bate type that lets you choose between different tow hooks/receivers.
An long-ranger tank, maybe, giving you the possibility of longer distances between refills (although the fuel costs will still be the same
).
If you are into toys, why not a winch, this gives you also the benefit of being able to use it as a working tool (if you have demand for it).
In a nutshell, I'd put my money on usable equipment instead for toys. If you are into additional gauges for your console, coolant temperature, exhaust gas temperature and battery voltage might top the list (would top mine anyway). Have fun modifying your truck!
Cheers
Johannes
