I bought two 10" from supercheap and just fitted those in. They are a slightly diff shape but wedge in well behind the diagonal bars. Total cost about $110!

    Easy job

    Hi There,
I've just fitted a set of Ford EH thermo fans, if you buy a push in thermo controller off Ebay or somewhere like that make sure you get one with dual fan wiring, makes things easier. I run one fan normally and have a fly wire earth wire for the second fan when I do heavy duty off road work. Seems to cope really well.
I tried the cheaper option of two single fans and paid well over $100 for the two fans. I got the EH ones from a wrecker for $90 in the shroud with all the wiring. Gives the engine a little bit more power to boot.
Make sure your alternator is up to the job, a heavy duty one would be a good investment. The controllers come with 40 amp fuses this gives you an idea of the power required. If you get a hot day and you have the air con on etc things get quite loaded up, the standard alternator can struggle.
I was quite surprised how quite the engine is without the normal viscous fan on. By the way you have to modify the shroud a bit around where the bottom hose is, the overall size is pretty spot on. You end up with about an inch between the old fan thread and the back of the EH fan shroud. The AU ones are to wide, they were for my vehicle anyway.
    Hope this helps.

Have a look at Stuee's thread here: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/members-ri...-v8-disco.html

He has some excellent photos and info about his thermo fan install.

    Hi 400HPONGAS,
I checked tonight, my mistake it's a set of fans off an EF-EL, not an EH, sorry about that. Whoops!
