Im taking off lwop for 6months from April 2012 with missus and two kids aged 5&7. Planning on getting a camper trailer. I have a 94 v8 disco manual that is in great condition and I'm ready to put the coin into this bus to make our trip as smooth as possible.

I can't justify upgrading to a diesel and inheriting someone else's problems seeing this bus is going really well right now. I'm after any pre prep tips anyone my be able to offer, and I'll add photos as I go along. Feel free to tell me I'm mad

It's done 192,000. I put a winch on it, replaced the fuel pump and set the maf etc and now get 15.5l/100km. The paint is rooted but that doesn't bother me!

I need to upgrade the suspension and was thinking 2" sus stuff?
Also need tyres to suit, I have 15" rims
Air con needs love
Snorkel
Dual batts
Fridge
Comms
Heaps of threads about all this just seeing if anyone who has done it can offer a few tips.
