    Blew my Rear Diff again

Yep it happened again, Went out for a play with my son him in his Wrangler and me in the Disco. Got to proove to him that it can be stopped when he tried to swamp it and I had to winch him out. Then decided to show off and do a full noise mud run only to find out when i got to the end that i had blown my rear diff again (I think this time i stripped the pinion because it gave no bang that i heard), so it seems that not only did i not require recovery but i also made it through a fairly decent 150mtr mud run in front wheel drive only. Shows how good a Disco is huh. Now i have to wait until my new diffs arrive from WA before i can get the beast running yet again. But this time with 4.75 gears, pegged and a front ARB air locker and a rear Detriot locker i should be right for a while at least. Whats next to break? I'm betting on the transfer case. Oh the last diff lasted me a total of 4000kms before it let go, So take note those who wish to run 35's MAKE SURE YOU UPGRADE YOUR DIFFS TOO. No fun having an off road monster if it sits waiting for parts all the time. But with a trip to the USA looming i dont think i will have it running again until late September early October. And with my new rock sliders off getting shortened to allow clearance for my 35's I'm feeling a bit bummed out at the moment. Its almost how i planned now with mods aside from the diffs but i still dont get to use it.

Bummer about the Diff mate, was hoping to get out for a play again but keep hearing about things you keep breaking. At least it will be sorted soon.

So your off to the states are you, where do I put my order form in. What goodies are you looking at for the bulldozer over there.

Safe trip and will try to get out when your back.

    Cheers, David.

Actually no parts for the dozer just r&r time with me and the good wife... But might get some bits for her jeep while the $$$ is still good.

Don't you love it when you have so much crud sitting in your garage that you forget that you have a spare std diff sitting in the corner that you can put in for 1 last run before you go the whole 9 yards.
If i get off work early tomorrow or Thursday I'll be changing it over.
Don't think this one will last long but I have an urge to hit the tracks before I park the dozer for a month.
2 hours under the car for a few hours fun is time well spent as far as I'm concerned. Especially when my Disco is concerned
As for the rest of the probs i was having with the ignition etc its all sorted and running sweet, could do with a front alignment and a dyno tune but nothing else major although I am thinking about putting a new cam, lifters and timing chain in soon, I dont trust the std timing gear/chain and I think at 170k it should get renewed before it breaks and costs me more $$$ maybe even give the heads a touch up for good measure.
Just can't wait for my locked diffs and new gears I know they will make a HUGE difference to the overall driveability

Sounds like a reason for a BBQ and few cold ales after a day of testing out the lockers once I fit them
