    Disco one seat repair

I have managed to split the squab support under the foam on my D1 front seat, any one know where to buy a replacement or repair on the gold Coast?

In one of my previous old rangies the previous owner had used a couple of those thick rubber bungy straps to fix a split rubber and it worked a treat.

I did made it, with a piece of PVC tarpaulin, folds sewn with 3 seams.
After this, I copied the holes as original and used the same original wires from older pad. There is no difference to feel in the repaired seat

    Regards

    Hi Brettsky,
Not sure if you've explored getting second hand seats. The same thing happened to my front drivers seat I picked up a pair of seats in mint condition for $65 each from a local wrecker. I wasted three hours of my life trying to fix the seat and didn't end up with something much better than when it was broken.
Just a thought, you might pick up a bargain.

    Temporary Fix

I have the same problem. A temporary fix I have used was a couple of cushions from the lounge room jammed under the seat cushion and the cross bar. Works a treat once you arse gets used to it. Did a trip from Darwin to Melb and back with no problems. the butt got used to the cushions around Porta Gutta. still trying to figure an easy way to fix it.
