Thread: Discovery to Defender Calipers

I am looking at upgrading the front brake calipers on my 1997 Discovery V8 from the original 41mm calipers to the 46mm ones from later model defenders, I am led to believe the part number is STC441.

4 Questions
* Do I need to change master cylinder or are they the same?
* Are they both a dual line caliper?
* Will they fit within 15 inch rims with a 25mm offset?
* Will they be much cheaper O/S or should I look at exchanging at a Land Rover dismantlers and what should I expect to pay?

Master should be fine, they're single line, should fit fine with 15's, and way way cheaper o/s, try paddocks in the uk
