    Oil in turbo and intercooler?

    Howdy all.

On our second day on our 4 mth trip and we seem to have quite a bit of oil coming from the silicon hoses on the turbo and at the top of the intercooler. Is this something to be overly worried about? There is enough oil to splatter the flex pipe and leave a coat on the transmission pan (no it's not auto fluid). We are at Dubbo for next 2 days and then off to Broken Hill on Friday.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers Goldey

Cannot tell how much oil by your description.

It is normal for the inside of the hoses and intercooler to have a film or more of oil as the rocker cover has a breather that ends up in the air intake. If the oil seperator becomes overwhelmed more oil gets into the air intake system.

If it is much more then your turbo bearings might be on the way out.
