Yup, mail order from a UK supplier. Sad but true, easiest way to get sensibly priced parts for any English vehicle in this country.
Well chaps I ham now the proud owner of a 97 D1 V8. I'm really impressed with the condition generally and I have explored all the week points that became apparent on my last D1 V8 back in the UK. It is totally rust free which is fantastic. It does have a little tweaking required on the engine. I'm suspecting a dodgy injector. In the UK I'd have picked a known good one for about £20 and be sorted but searching for replacement injectors here in Australia only shows up new Genuine ones for about $170. Does anyone know of a source of cheap but good used landrover parts? Preferably near to Canberra but anywhere will do if they are trustworthy and do a good postal service.
Cheers

There was a thread on here somewhere by PhilipA (I think!), where he posted about some alternative Bosch injectors that could be sourced very cheaply from the US. Damned if I can find it with a quick search though!
Perhaps a PM to him?
Last ones I got someone were $90 each and I think the freight was about $12 PM me if you need more details

Hi Gromit,
I have a set of original ones in working condition. I removed them about 2 months ago now, the weekend before I converted to LPG. I swapped them for soem Bosch items.
One is missing an o-ring which I dropped after removal and could not find. PM me if your interested.
Cheers,
Rez
They were rebuilt ones from an American seller. They don't state land rover on the listing but do in the description. They claim to be sonically cleaned and rebuilt. He offers a guarantee with them and last time I saw any (about 3 weeks ago) they were $40 for the set of 8
You just have to search Bosch fuel injectors on US eBay and trawl through em all!
Well Thanks guys, thats a great help. I'm going to make sure how many I need and then chase up some of those valuable leads. Rezley, I may be in touch at the weekend. Sounds like there is some light on the horizon!
