    whats the cause?

95 300 tdi disco, i find my brake pedal is a bit to low on the first press then comes up on the second press, she isnt using or leaking any brake fluid, it is a symptom of the vaccum pump or maybe the vaccum resevior thing behind the master cylinder, or rubbers in the master cylinder? whats your experiance.
    thanks

The simplist is low brake pads - first pump pumps them out to the disks and the second makes them press against the disks to brake to car.

Could be a lot of more complicated things as well - so check the fluid and pad thickness first - if Ok then look at more complicated things.

If the pedal is slightly soft, the brakes may need bleeding. If it's hard you may have a loose wheel bearing. Bearing float can push the pads back.
