    300Tdi Injector Clamp Stud P/N ERR1019

Howdy all, after seemlessly replacing the head gasket in my 300Tdi and just when I was heading into the home straight..I unfortunately sheared one of Injector Clamp studs...Bugger. (I even used a Torque wrench )

After being quoted $33.50 ea by my local supplier does anyone know of a cheaper option? Or does anyone in Perth have a stuffed 300Tdi Head with the studs still intact that they wouldn't mind removing one from?

Thanks once again for the useful advice sourced from this forum

    Hi Chookie,
Have you tried Rovercraft? Ian is pretty good at this sort of stuff. If you get stuck and have some time Turner Engineering in the UK have them on the shelf, they could get it to you in less than seven days.
If you are really really stuck I could sell you one for the same price I have to buy one, I have my engine in bits at the moment, not in a rush the block is still away being machined.

Thanks Marty, I used Turners for the Head Gasket and bolt Set and was very impressed but when I put the price enquiry for the stud through to them, the total cost came back at 55 pounds due to freight!! I'm not desperate at the moment as I have used a shorter stud from an old Mazda to get me by but I am keen to get the proper stud back in. Only wish I'd of thought to order a spare stud when I had the Head gasket kit delivered - apparantly a fairly common occurance to shear off... I'm waiting on a response from LR Series in the UK - price so far is 4 pounds + freight and they are sending through a freight quote ASAP.

I also really appreciate the offer, but as I said, I'm in no rush - It's is great to know that there is always help if you're really stuck.. Thanks

    Cheers

    Hi Rik,
The 55 pounds seems a bit off the wall, if this event had happened a couple of weeks ago I could of asked them to throw a couple of studs in with my order. Good luck, catch ya.

Got Freight quote back from LR Series... 2.54 Pounds posted by Royal Mail so all up cost of 6.33 Pounds delivered... Sold! Much better than $33.50...
    Cheers
