Sorry I had posted earlier but it hasn't shown up for some reason.
They are Transport Tasmania, they wont let you go over 50mm from the original tyre size.

That's 50mm over the maximum tyre size for that model car and I think it's measured as 50mm lift not 50mm overall.

I discovered this reading up on all the legalities etc from state to state which I posted some links in another thread.

235 85 16 is standard on the defender which is the same wheel bearings I believe so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

I run them on Casper but they just scrub the front radius rods on full lock so if I hear that I back off the steering a little bit, I probably should adjust the stops but....

35mm suspension lift and Camel cut the rear guards is all I've done.

Hi in Tassie we now use the National Code of Practice, and its 50mm overall diameter not lift, and (Steering and/or suspension stops must not be modified to provide clearance for wheels) I know the Defender came out with 235/85 16s as I mentioned that to the head of the department in Tassie, and he was very clear that it is model specific, whatever the model came out with thats the maximum - you can only have 50mm over that.
