    AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT

    G'day

    I have a series 1 Discovery '95 V8
I'm a newby so any thing I'm doing wrong please tell me.
A little problem I have is after fitting new cruise control switches to steering wheel, of course I can't get the dash warning light to go off.
It was fine before I removed the D/airbag.
Is there a way off doing it without pluging the computer thingo in, the burglars wan't $60 to do it, that's not a dealer but a private spares outlet.
If that's the only way, can anyone recommend somewhere that would be cheaper. I'm in southern metro area of Sydney.

    Thanks..... shepherd

Try disconnecting the battery for at least half an hour to discharge the system and see if the light persists on reconnecting it. If it does, as in my case, I simply pulled the bulb. The prices the garages charge for resetting the system are simply ridiculous. Maybe there is someone with a Rovacom living close to you?

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

Not having a go at you personally, but it seems some people on this forum are tight wads when it comes to paying.
EG.You do your own work and then take it to a place and they are burglaring you? There is a min charge on all things, whether a plumber, tv fix it man, sparky , carpet layer all have a min whether it takes 1/2 hr or 5 mins . No one does anything for free, except another forum member with the right equipment.
No I'm not a mechanical service, just don't like the expression that people are always robbing, stealing when providing a service.
