    Vibration

Hey guys my Disco has recently developed vibration under acceleration through the floor/steering wheel at 40-60kms. absolutely no vibration before 40 and after 60 seems to settle down a bit. had the wheels balanced 800kms ago don't think its thrown a weight, any ideas?

p.s. i do have 35x12.5 tyres that are down to about 30%

Just as a precaution before you drive it any further chock the wheels and put the gearboxes in nuetral, jack one wheel up each side, get underneath with a good light and a pry bar/big screwdriver and check the uni-joints, especially the front one at the transfer case end. If you can move any joint (crosspiece inside yoke), remove and replace both uni-joints, better still if you find any wear replace them all. Regards Frank.

Check the bushes of the panhard rod. Common cause of vibration when worn.

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

I have the same symptoms at the same speed range but only since I lifted the car recently and mine is due to the front shaft angle I have now or the 2 uni's are out of sinc.As tank said I would check the uni's asap.I have had shot panhard bushes before but the vibration gets worse as speed increases in my experience to the point where I could not go over 80 kmh.I would also jack up the car and check all wheels for any loose wheel bearing wobble, especially considering you have 35's which really stress bearings and swivel bearings.
    Cheers
