I have QT 6 degree on the front but haven't had the time to put the matching rears on ( both have intergrated sliders). I do how ever have Brit part rear trailing arms on, which i don't think will ever bend "ever". So I don't think that is the problem however the fact that the front are 6 degree and the rear are "I think 3 degree" would cause some confusion in the driveline along with the rear ball joint and broken engine mounts. So new engine mounts in the morning and after i get the bushes pushed in then the trailing arms and if i have time the ball joint. Then i book it in for a wheel alignment. Hopefully that works , what i am hoping for is any other ideas as to my wandering problem so i can resolve it at the same time... As i already have a nice list (at the start of this post) as to what i am intending to fix before i look else where for my problem.
Passenger side engine mount totaly stuffed so I replaced it, drivers side is ok so I left it for now (its a ***** to get too the top bolt). Waiting on bushes for trailing arms so should be good to go by thursday with fitting the QT's. Passenger side front wheel seal was leaking so I pulled that out and found the wheel bearing was too loose, replaced the seal retightened the wheel bearings and cleaned up the front brakes (no squeel and it stops "bonus") and the wandering isnt so bad now. Fingers crossed when the trailing arms go in it will stop it all totally.
New bushes pressed into the QT trailing arms today so hopefully no storms tomorrow and I can fit them up
Problem found. The main bush that connects the rear trailing arms to the body mount let go on both sides, these were only replaced a year ago when i put the cranked and raked arms on. Luckily I still had the original bushes so I fitted them when I installed my new QT arms and to my delight it steers normally at 100kmh now and i dont have to chase it all over the freeway to keep it straight. Next week a wheel balance and alignment and she should be beautiful again.
The Pictures should show the bad bush and the new QT 6 degree trailing arms.
so all good for the weekend then!
thats some fair armouring on those QT arms!!
Im working night shift as of friday so should be ok. Dont expect me to be full of energy but I'll be there. And it can't be a long day cause I'll have to sleep before going back to work Saturday night. :D
The arms were the best ones they had for the disco so i couldnt help myself, They have integrated sliders on the front and rear so Gentle Anni should be no drama:twisted: They're damn heavy compared to the raked and cranked ones i took out.
just message me a time that suits, otherwise can leave it for another time when your not working?
whatever your happy with, being that you have to work fri and sat nights!
yeah mine have a little mini slider welded on but nothing like those ones!
Me wait for another day pbbbbt I want to go out and play now but I can't. So Saturday it is rain hail or shine sleep or no sleep
