Hey all,
My disco has developed a snake like wander when driving after its ski jump on cup weekend.
A few things i am going to attack tomorrow are known to me but I am after any other advice that you might think is the problem
1. Broken engine mounts
2. rear trailing arms (front are 6 degree rear are just cranked and raked) replacing with QT 6 degree arms
3. rear ball joint.. Never touched it so figure it could use a change.
4. tyre rotation and front wheel alignment
when accelerating it drives to the right and when decelerating it drives to the left, In my expereince it tells me rear steer for the drive to the left (trailing arms and/or ball joints) and engine mounts(known broken) steer to the right with the engine torque.

Supporterrear trailing arm to diff bushes, my rangie was doing the same thing.
Think landover's disco was too and found to be worn rear trailing arm bush.
Do both bushes and rear ball joint as you mentioned and it'll make a big differance!
Reckon you'd have it sorted by sat?? i'm trying to get out wheeling!

SupporterIt sure sounds similar to mine. Try grabbing the rear wheels and rock back and forth to see if there is any movement in the trailing arms. Mine L/H side has heaps of movement. I'm still waiting for some rear trailing arms after someone fitts the QT ones to try and sort it.

I know its not the trailing arms.
they are perfect but not matched to the front so i believe there is a few things that are adding to my head ache. Cal if i'm not working this weekend problem fixed or not and if i am as long as i am working night shift then I AM UP FOR A RUN as long as it is close by. You have my number just give me a call tomorrow and let me know when and where and I'll tell the roster clark. :-)

I have all HD brit part steering arms etc but I know my engine mounts are screwed (knocking/banging etc). Front wheel alignment is over due after cupweekend so after i fix all known faults that is next

SupporterI had that happen with mine as well.Ended up being the rear trailing arm bushes.I ended up putting in some QT radius arms and QT trailing arms and it was one of the best things i did.My rear trailing arms kept bending.Id like to see the QT ones bend
