The Cruise control is usually just a split vacuum hose, the pump is located under the passenger side in front of the airbox there is a panel, like if you were to fit a second battery, there should be a rubber vacuum hose coming out of a hole, then check the actuator lines and actuator diaphram and also your vacuum lines from the pedals, on the back of the pedal arms are the vacuum switches, when you press a pedal it opens the valve to cancel vacuum and cruise disconnects.
Suck on a hose and see if there is vacuum , if you can suck air then there is a leak.
