    Hard Brakes

Hey guys, have noticed recently that my disco on some mornings has really hard brakes but very little braking power for the first few applications of the pedal but then settles down and is fine for the rest of the day. had a look on some previous blogs and it sounded like the vacuum servo unit, however i tested the servo unit according to the manual and works fine (pedal depresses after engine turned on) and there doesn't seem to be any leaks in the vacuum line. Only seems to happen in the morning or if the cars cold. Has anyone else had this problem? my disco is a 1996 3.9l petrol with abs.

Do you get to give it a rev before you brake??

Both my D1 and D2 suffered from the occasional cold dead pedal

I often get a stand on the pedal feel.mostly when getting out of the driveway.
Ive blamed the fast idle stepper motor.but you think there would be enough vacume stored in the booster.

I also got a heavy pedal on a down hill run and standing on the pedal would get the car to wobble.

the front and rear pads have lasted 18 months and about 25 000Km.
and have the service light on.
