D1 TDi with ABS brake problems

    Hi all
I have searched the forum and could not find any refferance so I am asking the masses..LOL
The other week my brake power booster expired so I renewed it and the vucuum pump as the booster was oily inside.
After reassembly and bleeding the padal faded to the floor both with the engine running and not. I thought master cyl so fitted a new one but no change to pedal action.
My question to all you knowledgeable people is what are the synptoms of the ABS modulator failing? or could it be something else?
I looked for error codes in the abs ecu which showed flashes in the order of 1 pause 2 pause 12 the 2-12 is a right rear wheel sensor fault I realise but is the one flash first indicating anything?
Is there any other tests that I can do to narrow the culprit down
I am hoping to rectfy this before xmas as I would prefer to drive the rover than the falcon on holiday.
    Cheers for all help
    Lindsay

2-12 is the front right sensor. If you check out the "brake issues" post I have put a link in for the blink method.

There should be 2 flashes before the code is displayed I believe.

I gave my front sensor a gentle knock with a piece of wood to try to reseat it as the code mentions the air gap. This fixed it for me for a while but it's now back intermittently. New sensor is about $80 from the UK.
