Thread: D1 extra tailgate door seal

I was talking landrovers to the old man before Christmas (he's got 2 RRCs, a P38 and a series2 - lucky bugger/glutton for punishment...) and I ended up mentioning dust/water and other stuff falling off the top of the tailgate when you open it and he said that there's an extra seal available to stop that happening. I've got one, he says, I'll send it to you.

It arrived the other day and I've had a quick search on here and in the workshop manual and even my old haynes manual, but can't find any mention of it. So, hopefully a simple question - anyone know where it fits? On the door or the bodywork?

I've got a D1. Many years ago I was in 'Clarke Rubber' store in Dandenong, Vic looking at rubber mouldings. I found one that you push on around the outside of the rear door. I bought a couple of metres and its been fantasic.
