    Seats

    Hi guys,
A quick question, I've always loved the seats in the later model classic Rangie vogues. Can they be fitted into a D1, and more importantly,a 3G door tilt base?
    Thanks,
    Sean

I have read some posts in the past that people have put the RRC seats in the Disco's, so yes it can be done. I can't remember what was involved but I don't think it was hard. Try a search if you haven't already tried or maybe someone else may be able to help you out.
    Cheers, David.

I have the rear seats from a rangie in my 95 disco. They are the ones with the arm rests on the side of them and one in the middle.Much nicer and more comfortable then the Disco original rear seat.Bolts straight up.I think the front seats are mounted differently in the Rangie from what i remember.I also wanted to use the captain chairs from the Rangie but it was to much work for me.You may be able to use the Disco seat base or rails and modify it to the Rangie one.

Does the Rangie rear fold forward like the Disco one?
Looks like O'm going to have to buy the fronts and see if I can make them work.

maybe a bit late, but I believe I have RR front seats in my disco 1.
Have taken them out a while back to do some rust proofing and think the person who installed them has simply drilled new holes in the floor to fit them.
Other than that, just make sure you plug the old holes (the previous owner didnt, hence needed rust proofing....)

Damn comfy though! and a bit higher, great when youre on the vertically challenged side, not so good when youre in the 6ft 3 region....

    good luck!

They look like RR Classic seats to me.

The grey trim piece under the seat cushion is definitely RRC.
